What food pairs well with Mead?
"What does this pair well with?" is the most common question we get when people sample our mead.
The short answer is “It depends”. What is the occasion? Who are you sharing the bottle with or are you having a quiet night in by yourself?
And most importantly of all what kind of mead are you drinking? Mead is such a broad category with so many different styles varieties of flavors. A myriad of fruits or herbs can be added making a mead ranging from bone dry to candy sweet.
Because of this, I found myself putting a lot of thought into how to answer this question. It’s pretty nuanced and I didn’t want to give advice that was too broad or that could lead to a bad pairing/experience but I think I may have finally found a solution.
I’ve created a Pinterest board with our picks for what to pair with our mead. These are curated flavors hand picked by me and Bryce to compliment our Meads. I’ve created a board named “Meals and Mead pairings” There are sub-categories for each of our meads with tailored recommendations for food pairings. These boards are dynamic and will continue to grow.
Going forward, each time we release a new mead I will create a new board with our recommendations.
